THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For you to ensure a secured position for this scholarship opportunity, you must ensure you are able to meet up with the necessary requirements, of which some of them include;

a) You are expected to be living and also working in any of an OKP country.

b) You must be proficient in English language or French language.

c) You should possess a valid identity passport.

d) You are expected to have a two years experience or above, in the specific field of study you are applying for.

e) You are required to have gained admission in any of the included universities or institutions of Orange Knowledge Program.

f) You are also expected to have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent certificate.

g) You must be working in any of the important or significant organizations in the country, like; commissions, ministries, universities, local organizations, secondary institutions, NGOs or the private sector.

h) You can be able to teach or transfer your knowledge amd experience in any of the organizations after your studies in their country.

i) Candidates who have previously had an OKP scholarship cannot participate again.

j) Candidates are required to provide government statement with the scholarship application, that is if this is needed by the local government.

k) The candidates who are working in a Multi lateral organization, or an internationally connected organization and even any organization that concerns with social interest such as human rights, environmental protection, health, etc are not qualified for the Orange Knowledge Program.

Round one: ( 8 February to March 30)

Round two: ( 28 June to September 5)

Please note: The deadline date that is planned for the end of the Orange Knowledge Program is on 31 December, 2024. Due to that, no application rounds would be available in 2024.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ORANGE KNOWLEDGE PROGRAM (OKP)

1) Ensure to check the OKP qualified countries and courses, and if your country is qualified, check the available courses for it.

2) You will find a course in the course list, ensure to choose a course that is related to your interests and studies.

3) Endeavor to check the requirements for the course, you can also contact the Dutch education institution so as to have knowledge about the procedures and academic requirements.

4) Get ready for your application, by preparing your required documents like passports, government statement, employer statement, etc.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR THE ORANGE KNOWLEDGE PROGRAM

– You need to present a valid passport and a national ID card: It is important to note that the passport must be valid at the time you applied for the visa and also when you arrive to Netherlands. It is also advised to add your birth certificate.

– GRE Test: A new scoring system has been brought out and it requires that your GRE score must be 145 or above. The GRE score is expected to be higher in subjects that relates with your academic field.

– You are required to show a recent statement from your employer, depending on the country you were employed: Ensure that you mention your job descriptions, your work projects and the skills you have mastered. Know that the letter must be signed by the Head of the company.

– You need a government statement.

– Academic Transcripts

– Recommendation letters: The candidates are expected to submit up to three letters of recommendation from their previous university, though depending on the course. Advisable is given to provide a letter of recommendation from the Head of Department, who is expected to be a PhD holder. Your referees are expected to input their contact details, like phone number, email, etc at the end of the letter. Also, remind your referees to write about your academic accomplishments and write about their full confidence in you and how qualified you are for the course you are applying for.

– You need to present your Curriculum Vitae (CV)/ Resume: This should include all your recent and important details about your interests and occupation. Also make sure that the CV is hand signed.

– Proof of English language proficiency: You can get this document from IELTS or TOEFL. To be able to increase your chances, it is expected that you have an overall of 6.5 in IELTS or above 100 in TOEFL. Though, the need of this may differ from course to course.

– Proof of previous work experience ( but it is optional)

– A motivational letter: You are required to ask about your personal and professional reasons you choose to apply for the course and the scholarship. Please take note that applicants for the master’s programs from Indonesia, are expected to apply through the OKP-LPDP Joint program.

COURSES THAT THE ELIGIBLE FOR ORANGE KNOWLEDGE PROGRAM (OKP)

1) The Masters program, this is usually held for a period of twelve months to twenty four months. The fields under the masters program are as follows; Agricultural science, Public Health, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering.

2) The Short Courses: This is also held for a duration of two weeks to seven months for the second round. The fields under the short courses are as follows; Vocational Training, Water Management, Healthcare and Medical Training, Management and Leadership, Education and Training, Sustainable Development.

Though the eligibility of courses can differ by universities or institutions, so it will be of importance to check the actual courses that are offered by the Dutch universities included in the scholarship program.
